About a month ago I was in Thailand for two weeks…And I enjoyed every second of it 💕
Thailand was on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. During the beginning of 2017, I told myself I was going to make Thailand happen. I remember it was one of my many goals set for 2017. Surprisingly, I (we) made it happen! On May the 20th of 2017, the boyfriend and I flew out to Thailand. It was a 18+ hours flight (2 stops), one and a half day until we landed in Thailand…Honestly, I would’t have done it without my man. It took us about a month and a half to planned everything…We both did our research and booked our plane tickets and hotel separately through Expedia. (It was our very first time flying out of country) 😉
Our first stop was Phuket, where we then was taken to our destination, which was 20 minutes away. The resort we booked was called Santhiya Koh Yao Yai. Everything from the rooms to the activities offered on the resort caught my attention. It was a must for me. Lol. Yes, pictures can be deceiving, but NOPE not Santhiya Koh Yao Yai! Everything looked exactly as seen in pictures. I can’t stress enough to tell you how beautiful and breathtaking the resort was! I was just so happy and was living like a damn queen!!! Room services was amazing! The staff was awesome and super sweet. Oh, and the food was bomb & the view was to die for!!! There were so many different kind of activities offered, such as; Thai dance, Thai boxing, Thai cooking, and boating to different islands (Phi Phi, James Bond, Krabi). Sadly we did not make it to any of the islands due to the bad weather…Some days were very cloudy and/ or rainy but was super duper humid! Despite of the weather we still had the best time of our lives! The Thai vibes was real. It got me feeling like a Thai queen! Lol. We spent five days on the resort before we left to Chiang Mai.
In Chiang Mai we booked “Hmong Thai Tour” (search him on FB). He is known as a tour guy in Chiang Mai. We booked him for three days out of the eight days that we stayed in Chiang Mai. In Chiang Mai we drove an hour away to Maetaeng Elephant Camp where we rode elephants, ox and watched elephant shows. We then took a bamboo raft and went through Maetaeng river where we saw Thai villages and elephant homes. We also zip line, fed alligators, visit Chang Mai Night Safari (zoo), Hmong village, and so on…..We did so many things in one day. Literally from 9 a.m to 6 p.m. By 6 p.m we usually stroll down to the night markets to enjoy the night life. The markets had many good things from cute Hmong/ Thai outfits to yummy foods and live music. By the way, the food portion in Thailand is very little compare to the USA. But on the bright side it is very very cheap and tasty! On our last day we flew back to Phuket…I’m not going to lie but we both missed home so much & was happy to be back. 😊
Overall, the best part about our trip was definitely staying at Santhiya Koh Yao Yai resort. I would like to recommend anyone to the resort. It was a dream come true place! Customer service was 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👍🏼😌 For more info: https://www.santhiya.com/kohyaoyai/
The boyfriend and I booked our flight with China Southern Airline, which I 100% do NOT recommend!!! Only if I knew how bad their services was I would have totally done things differently. But anyways, if anyone have questions regarding about the cost of my Thailand trip please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org)…And/ or just any questions comment below.
I hope you guys find this helpful…And for those who are iffy about traveling because of all the negative things that is going around… I say just do it! You’ll never know what’s on the other side of the world until you experience it! &, I totally recommend booking a tour person… Live life to the fullest and just do it ✔️
Traveling the world is probably one of the best gift anyone could ask for ❤️
